The Good News

Bible with Hands

The Good News of Salvation

The word “gospel” translates the word meaning “good news” in the language of the New Testament.

This good news is in contrast to the “bad news” - namely that because of sin man is under God’s condemnation because of sin and faces eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire.

The good news is that God loves each person and by his grace has provided a way of forgiveness and eternal salvation. The invitation to receive God’s salvation - forgiveness of sin and the gift of eternal life - is open to whosoever will turn to Jesus Christ by faith. Salvation is available to all who will confess that they are a sinner and believe that Jesus is the Son of God, God in the flesh; believe that he died on a cross in our place, for our sins; and believe that he arose from the grave to live forevermore.

In the moment that we trust Christ for our salvation, we are born-again;  forgiven of sin; saved from eternity in the Lake of Fire; become children of God; indwelt by the Holy Spirit of God; and receive the free gift of eternal life. Salvation comes through faith alone - by trusting in Christ alone - not in one’s own goodness or good works.

Are you saved? Have your sins have been forgiven? Do you possess God's gift of eternal life? Do you know for sure what will happen when you die?

Your Decision for Christ

If not, will you trust in the Savior today? It is a matter of simple faith - belief - trust. Prayer doesn’t save, but through a simple prayer you can confess your sin and tell the Lord that you are now trusting Christ for your salvation. The Bible teaches that we can be absolutely confident that he will save us if we only call upon him.

If you have trusted in Christ as your Savior, please send us an email to let us know of your decision by clicking here. We will direct you to information concerning how you can grow in your new life in Christ.

If you have made a decision to trust Christ as Savior, or if you're still unsure with questions and would like to speak to someone personally, we would encourage you to visit the church this Sunday or contact Pastor Dave Marvin at any time.

If you have received Christ by faith, we would love to know of your decision in order to help you in your new life in Christ or to help you with any questions you may have about the gospel and eternal life.
